How will you use your passions for God's purpose?
You see CS4 in your sleep, whiz through writing, or balance budgets like nobody's business. Maybe you love to create: Web design, videos, graphics, photos, articles, press releases, budgets... Perhaps, you could become the next underling at a communication company or a large corporation, but you feel called to serve more than coffee.
Crossroads Summer Project is a seven-week experience where students grow closer to God while developing their professional skills. For the first time, Crossroads will be partnering with the Chicago Summer Project. Together your time this summer will allow you to build deep relationships and serve the ministries of the Great Lakes Region of Campus Crusade for Christ, including campuses in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.
You will develop the theme and identity of IndyCC, a conference that brings thousands of college students from the Midwest together to strengthen and share their faith in Christ. You will intersect with staff with expertise in creative fields, learn from them, help them with various local projects, and gain professional experience. You will learn to rely on the Lord, cherish His Word, learn how to share your faith, and build a community that reflects the kingdom of God all while living and working in one of the coolest cities in the world.
We're looking for students with skills in:
> Computer programming
> Creative writing
> English
> Finance/Accounting
> Graphic design
> Journalism
> Photojournalism/Photography
> Public relations
> Marketing
> Video production and editing
> Web design and development
We can give you Internship credit (if your university allows it) for your work, but it is a non-paying Internship.
The cost covers your housing, materials, and events. It does not cover your groceries, meals, and travel. We encourage you to raise support to cover these costs and we will help you learn how!
You will need to submit a portfolio of your work along with the application. Contact Ryan.Strandt@uscm.org to find out how.
