This is an Epic Movement Summer Project. Epic is a national campus ministry that seeks to reach Asian American students by putting the gospel of Jesus Christ into a context that speaks to them. This project is for any Asian American students and those learning to minister to Asian American college students by launching Epic Movements.
-------
LAUNCHING MOVEMENTS AND FINDING LOCALS - that's what this summer project is about. Just like an overseas project, we are here to build new movements of local students who have no Christian ministry on their campuses. We focus on the mission on campus and sharing our faith in order to reach the greater island of Hawaii. We have seen record numbers of locals accept Christ in the past two years!
And just like a typical stateside project, the staff leave after several weeks and hand off leadership roles to students. This provides training in leadership and character that will last a lifetime.
Uniquely, this project is for Asian American students who want to discover and engage in their cultural identity. Many of us will deal with deep heart issues of our past and of our family. This is a safe place to allow God to bring healing and hope.
Ever wonder what it looks like for Asian Americans to step up in a Christ-incarnate way? Come and see how God increases your faith and reaches island locals through you.
Staff and students live in the University of Hawaii dorms in Honolulu for the seven weeks.
It's not a vacation, it's a mission!
